St Joseph Classical

Promoting Well-trained Minds and Faithful Hearts

St Joseph Classical (SJC) is a one day per week homeschool support program at St. Joseph Ypsilanti for students in grades 1st through 8th. Atrium I and II are available as well.

The mission of SJC is to support families who wish to homeschool their children in truth, knowledge, and the Catholic faith.

SJC, created and directed by Anna Nowaczewski, is provided by St. Joseph Church, located at 9425 Whittaker Rd, in Ypsilanti, MI.

Classes are held mainly on Wednesdays and begin with 9:30 am Mass. The curriculum includes year long studies of science and history. The final period of the day offers a theology class for grades 7 to 8 and Religious Education for grades 1 to 6. The day concludes with an optional Chess Club which ends at 4:30 pm.

The program is now expanded to include high school courses offered throughout the week.

School starts in the first week of September and ends at the end of April.
